Back To School

It's that time again, time to get back to school...

I feel like my winter break was nothing but incessant gluttony, which was fine, but I didn't get out alot. I mean, I did go out almost everyday, but I didn't do ANYTHING really meaningful. I did so many stupid meaningless things, but at least I enjoyed them while I was at it.

My cousin and her husband went back to Calgary yesterday, but before they left, they spoiled me rotten AGAIN. They got me lots of stuff when they were here, like the most recent issues of ViVi, CanCan, PINKY!, and other Japanese magazines, which cost an arm and a leg and probably the other arm as well here in Canada because they fly them over from Japan before the beginning of the month. Now I'm indulging myself with Feb. 2008 issues of non-stop Japanese fashion and hot models. Everyone spoils me even though I'm not the youngest in the family anymore, but my baby cousin's lack of ability to speak Chinese doesn't earn her points in a family who speaks only Chinese.

Went out with Nicole on Friday, her parents took us to Granville Island for lunch. I thought it was going to be a casual thing, since Nicole's dad is pretty cool and takes us to art exhibitions and stuff when he comes to Canada, but he ended up taking us to Bridges for lobster. I was wondering why Nicole was semi-dressed-up. I walked into Bridges in sweatpants and a t-shirt, sans make-up and my hair in a loose bun. The hostess gawked at me, and I don't blame her for it because Bridge's dress code is business casual/semi-formal. Luckily it was for lunch, so I didn't seem too out of place.

Went to Opus to get some art supplies for my gf, and I got a parchment notebook for myself. It's made from elephant shit. I shit you not, the label reads "Odourless, Environmental Paper made from Elephant poo in the Kingdom of Thailand." Really, I shit you not! Here's their website if you wanna check out gourmet notebooks made from, well, shit. http://www.poopoopaper.com/

It's back to school tomorrow, and back to my mentoring sessions and classes with Prof. Yates next week also. Ahhhh.... fuck. I have loads of Literature and Math homework left, but I don't plan on starting them.

SATs in 20 days, holy fuck. I'm so NOT ready.

Hi Vi! No NYX and NYC are totally different makeup companies but they are confusing!

You can purchase some NYX products here: www.cherryculture.com

For some reason, Google has locked me out of my account or someone's hacked into it... :\

To answer your question: Yes, I DID buy the scarf/mitten set online. It's currently on sale at the Saks website. Not sure if they ship internationally, but there ya go. :)
