Promise once again broken.
I bombed my math test today even though I spent much of last night studying for it and doing all of the revision. Fuck. It's one of those things in life I have to live with.
Halfway through lunch, Michael (Lin) from Math class asked me to be his dance partner for PE class. All the seniors who are in PE class are doing square dancing today and all through next week. In a delirium, I said yes, and Michael just dragged me off to the gym and sent me over to the girl's side for the starting line ensemble. Michael is a nice guy and we have a good time in Math together, but I promised myself I'll never do square dancing again after I broke up with Ming because square dancing was how we met, and it was special to us. Now, there I was, standing amidst a crowd of senior boys and undergrad girls who are trying to imitate what the Korean instructor was doing. I had a really empty, hollow feeling. Michael kept on saying how icy my hands were, and he took my hands into his and warmed them. It was really nice to him, he sensed my awkwardness and tried to loosen up the situation by doing funny stuff. I did have fun, sort of, except the dance moves were weird, and I had no idea what was going on. After all, I've spent the last year doing Poppin', so social dancing wasn't exactly my strong suit.
Took pictures for my Yearbook assignment today, along with Nicole. I shot with the school's Canon SLR, and it was pretty hot. I'm more convinced on getting a SLR for my gf this Christmas. Now I finally know why she's so crazy about it, because SLRs simply have incomparable quality and functionability. I'm looking into a Nikon D40, but Simon recommends a Canon because he, Wes, and I could share lenses and flashes since they're connoiseurs of photography and have a repertoire of nice lenses. Still thinking. I'm happy with my Sony T20 for now, because I'm a amateur and for photo-whoring, I have my 3.2mgpx camera-phone.
Came home and finished writing all 40 of my Christmas cards. I was really worn out after writing, enveloping, stickering, and candy-cane-taping 40 cards, so I decided to take a nap only to wake up two hours later and really late for dance class. I haven't been to dance practice in so long I think Jamieson is about to kill me. I haven't gone since Jamieson came back from Japan! But Mike (Cheng) has been filling me in on routines and stuff during our CS block together. I'm not even good enough to battle with Mike yet! Sad, I know.
Looking forward to shopping with Nicole tomorrow!
Klarise, Riana, Helen, and Kim are all safely back in Vancouver. The return of Riana means more label-whorism! The return of Klarise, Helen, and Kim means culinary adventures and tea time! I'm glad none of them decided to go back to China during Xmas, because Xmas shopping is not the same without my materialistic girls.

I recommend the Canon as well. My bf has an old hs classmate who's now a professional photographer. She boasts Canon as the best over any brand, although Nikon is good too. I'm actually in the market for one now! It's pretty pricey, but when you think about the quality you'll be getting, it's worth it. No regular point and shoot camera can match the performance of an slr. I was looking at a Canon Rebel today. Maybe soon... :)
